JOB DESCRIPTION
GHR Search is seeking a locum tenens Critical Care Nurse Practitioner for a 6 month contract opportunity in San Francisco, California.
Ideal candidates must have 2 years of Critical Care experience. Will float between Neuro and SICU units. Procedures include central lines, arterial lines, moderate sedation, intubation assistance.
**Rotating Shifts: 7pm-7am and 7am-7pm**
Local NON-Traveler Rate $115-$130hr (flat rate, no stipend included)
Traveler Rates: Approx $75-$85/hr + Approx $2450 TAX FREE Weekly Stipend
TAKE HOME Up to $5,800 weekly!
Mix of Day and Night Shifts: 7pm-7am and 7am-7pm
36 hours/week
Minimum Expectation of 3 weekend shifts/month

Nurse Practitioner Position Overview:
Nurse Practitioner Core competencies/procedures: Central lines, arterial lines, moderate sedation, intubation assistance. In-house staff to assist where needed. Intubation not required, but should be able to recognize when needed. Complex vent and sedation management. Responsible for codes in the unit along with the rest of the entire team.
Schedule: 12hr shifts, 7a-7p, 7p-7a. 3 orientation shifts, 2 in neuro, 1 in SICU. Not assigned nights to start. Weekends required. This is a full-time need, minimum of 12 shifts/month.
OT would apply after 12hrs in a shift. Can be flexible with schedule, meaning, theyll schedule however many shifts in a week, but will not approve OT over the course of 1 week. In that case, OT would only apply after 80hrs in a 2-week period, but must be discussed and negotiated by agency prior to booking in Optimizer.
Support Staff: Day: Attending is already on staff. Night: APP only, attending is at home, but there is a critical care fellow 24/7. There are other attendings on staff as well, but available to assist. Open structure critical care, very collaborative, co-management model with the surgical & neuro services.
Required Qualifications for Nurse Practitioner:
Must hold a current and active NP license in California
Minimum 2 years of Critical Care experience
Certs: ACLS, BLS, ENLS (Emergency Neurological Life Support)
Possesses the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to successfully perform the duties of the assigned position.
This position requires flexibility to orient and work at several locations and in varying schedules as outlined.
Flexibility to work across multiple campuses and locations.
