Night (United States of America)The STAT level Clinical Support Nurse is responsible for identifying the patient's alterations in health, assessing the patient's human response to actual and potential health problems, implementing nursing interventions to achieve outcomes for the patient that facilitate homeostasis, and determining the effectiveness of nursing interventions. The STAT Nurse makes independent decisions/judgments and takes action regarding a wide range of routine and complex patient problems and situations based upon protocol. Collaborates with other disciplines as appropriate to coordinate continuity of patient care in support of medical and nursing plans of care. The STAT Nurse acts to support patient care needs in any acute medical/surgical unit, intensive care unit and Emergency Department.
EDUCATION:
Graduate of a professional academic nursing program. BSN or actively pursuing BSN preferred. Holds current RN Registration or a Limited Permit to practice in the State of New York.
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of three years recent critical care clinical experience in specific patient populations served.
