Instead of doing multiple part-time jobs, delivery drivers can work with Uber Eats and earn whenever they want. They get to choose their schedule, shifts and vehicles. The best thing about Uber Eats is that you get to choose your vehicle. And you can also walk near the customer's doorstep on foot.

2. Does UberEats compensate delivery drivers for the time and the miles before their order pickup, or does UberEats only pay delivery drivers for the time and miles after the order pickup?

Uber Eats delivery drivers' primary job is to get the deliveries done. His job is to pick the designated order from the diner and deliver it to the customer's doorstep. So, Uber Eats simply compensates delivery drivers after they have finished off the delivery and tapped the complete option on the Uber Eats app.

If by mistake delivery drivers do not tap the option, they do not get paid for that delivery. So the simple answer is that Uber Eats delivery drivers get paid once they complete delivery and tap the option.

Uber Eats delivery drivers are responsible for taking them safely to the customer's doorstep. The customer gets a notification if the delivery driver cannot locate the place of residence. And the customers get alert, and he must respond within eight minutes to get their order. But if they fail to do so, there are two options. One is that they can toss the food in the trash, or they can eat it later. Either way, if the customer does not pick up the order, the delivery drivers get paid after tapping the complete option on the Uber Eats driver app. All the calls and alerts given by the delivery driver to the customer are recorded, so no one cheats the system.

4. What information can Uber Eats delivery drivers see about their customers?

Delivery drivers only get to see some information about the customers. They can only know the name, address, and the location of the place he has to deliver. And the mobile number he gets to contact the customer is the exchange number which is not visible to the delivery driver. Each time someone orders the food, delivery drivers receive an exchange number to contact them, which reaches the actual number while calling. Eventually, GPS guides them to the address of the building nearby, not the exact place. So that is the reason they call you.
