As a shopper, you'll pick and deliver the things that customers want and get paid for it. Instacart’s delivery and pickup services bring everyday essentials and fresh groceries to consumers within the U.S. and Canada in as fast as an hour. Customers order groceries from their favorite local stores, and Shoppers handpick the things and deliver the order to them.

Where you'll work as an Instacart shopper?

Instacart operates in 5,500+ cities across the U.S. and Canada. Locations range from large urban areas like San Francisco and New York to smaller communities like Spring Creek, Nevada, and Lannon, Wisconsin.

Instacart shoppers job requirements

There are a couple of basic requirements you've got to satisfy if you would like to earn money with Instacart:

Be a minimum of 18 years old.

Be ready to lift 30-plus pounds. with or without accommodation.

Have a smartphone. Your smartphone must be an iPhone or Android.

Pass a background check. Instacart says most shoppers are cleared within 10 business days, but this varies by location.

Have a bank account. Instacart shoppers are paid via direct deposit, so you will need an account to gather your earnings.

Full-service shoppers also must have the following:

A valid driver’s license and access to a car. You furthermore may need coverage that meets state requirements.

A set of insulated bags. You will need enough thermal-insulated bags to carry four standard-sized paper grocery bags.

To qualify for a referral bonus:

Your referral must apply your unique code on the primary page of the signup process.

Your unique code must be privately shared together with your referral—any publicly shared code won't qualify for a referral bonus

Instacart can’t add a referral code after the signup process is complete.

Your referral must complete their bonus requirements within a selected number of days on the Instacart platform.

Requirements vary by zone and role. Zone requirements are often found within the Referral section of the customer app.

Your referral must complete their bonus requirements within the region they applied in.

You must complete a minimum of 40 hours of services on the Instacart platform within the last 6 months.
