Along with all the basic qualifications you need to possess a minimum 6 months of experience in the driving field. As a Truck Driver for local accounts at CR England all you need to do is to transport the goods or materials from the manufacturing plant to the distribution centre. You will be provided with a wide range of well equipped and latest trucks like a mix of Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt, international, Western Star, and Mack trucks. You can drive with a team or enjoy solo driving.

The hiring requirements at CR England are simple. You need to maintain a decent work history and a decent driving record and it is equally important to be free from any recent felony convictions and driving violations.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Truck Driver for Local Account at CR England you are responsible for:

  • Transport finished goods and raw materials over land to and from manufacturing plants or retail and distribution centers
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance
  • Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
  • Document and log work/rest periods and kilometres spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
  • Input “macros” into our automated system for each stage of the loading and unloading process
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions
  • Report defects, accidents or violations

    • BASIC REQUIREMENTS

    To work with CR England you need to have the following basic requirements:

  • Must be 21 years old, applicants less than 23 years of age should have a clean driving record.
  • Valid class A Driving licence
  • Clean and satisfactory employment record.
  • At least six months of experience in driving heavy vehicles.
  • Three years of prior employment experience
  • Should not be indulged in more than three moving violations in the last 3 years.
  • Should not have any DUIs in the last seven years
  • Should not have more than 2 DUIs in lifetime.
  • Should not undergo license suspension due to reckless driving
  • Must Pass a mandatory drug screening.
  • No felony convictions in the last 10 years.
  • Must pass a Department of Transportation physical standard test by authorised doctor. The physical standards include a blood pressure rating of 140/90 or less.An eyesight rating of 20/40 or better.
  • Good listening and verbal communication skills
  • Must have good knowledge of traffic rules.
