Warehouse workers are responsible for performing an array of duties such as

  • receiving and processing incoming stock and materials
  • picking and filling orders from stock
  • packing and shipping orders
  • managing, organizing orders
  • retrieving stock and others.

    • As an Amazon Warehouse Worker, you have to fulfill basic Warehouse responsibilities in the busy warehouse settings. There will be Associates of Warehouse, Order Fulfilment workers, pickers and many more. As a worker in the warehouse, your basic responsibility will be picking, packing and uploading the ordered product in a systematic procedure.

    As a Warehouse worker you need to do some physical tasks also. They sometimes need to lift some heavy warehouse products, engage in uploading and unloading of orders. Though you have to engage in physical tasks, Amazon will take care of your physical fitness by regular health check ups of the workers. Along with that you must learn to operate the warehouse equipment and other necessary tools for maintaining a systematic and hustle free order procedure. Some of the operators they need to learn about are forklifts, pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and walkie-riders.

    Basic Responsibilities

  • Completes shipments by processing and loading orders.
  • Prepares orders by processing requests and supply orders; pulling materials; packing boxes; placing orders in the delivery area.
  • Completes deliveries by driving truck or van to and from vendors.
  • Maintains truck or van by completing preventive maintenance requirements and arranging for repairs.
  • Enforces inventory controls by collecting stock location orders and printing requests.
  • Provides quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintain safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet areas, and workstations neat.
  • Promotes a clean shipping supply area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Completes reports by entering required information.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

    • Basic Requirements

  • Education qualification - High school diploma, GED, or equivalent diploma.
  • Applicants must be above 18 years old.
  • Knowledge of warehousing procedures is an advantage.
  • Previous experience as a Fulfillment Worker.
  • Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
  • Forklift and cherry picker certification.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects.
  • Ability to work in a loud environment.
  • Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours a day.
